Blueprint Gaming Live in Ontario

With 4th April fast approaching, more supplier and operator names have been announced as licensees who can take bets in the newly regulated Ontario iGaming market.

Game developers, Light and Wonder and Blueprint Gaming have now both been granted supplier licenses, and Kindred Group have announced this week that they will be represented by their Unibet brand in Ontario.

WHO ARE LIGHT AND WONDER?

Even those familiar with the online gambling industry may not have heard of the name Light and Wonder. It is in fact the new name of veterans, SG Digital. The games provider, a significant fixture in offline and online gambling through lottery, sports and slots since 1973, have recently announced a re-branding following the sell-off of their lotto and sports platforms.

Light and Wonder are big in the video slots world thanks to previous acquisitions of Barcrest, NYX, and WMS and their long line of games includes classic brands like Rainbow Riches, Raging Rhino and the Monopoly slots series.

Now any licensed operator now wishing to offer Light and Wonder’s games to players in Ontario will be able to do so through their OpenGaming platform. That includes more than 2,500 titles in total.

America’s manager from Light and Wonder, Robert Hays spoke of their excitement at being licensed in Onatrio: “We can’t begin to overstate how excited we are to be operating in Ontario, this is a market where our games have resonated with players for years and now to expand to the private sector is an incredible opportunity and fantastic milestone for the company.”

WHO ARE BLUEPRINT GAMING?

Another huge name in the slots industry to recently get an Ontario supplier license is Blueprint Gaming.

They have made a name for themselves as a developer of feature-rich content including many Megaways™ titles that utilise the Big Time Gaming expanding reels format. Some of their most popular slots are The Goonies, Ted, Eye of the Dead, Fishin Frenzy, Eye of Horus, Genie Jackpots and Dead of No Deal.

Blueprint also run their own Jackpot Network of games called Jackpot King, recently upgraded to Jackpot Royale. Any game that features the Jackpot Royale feature can release huge prizes when the Wheel King feature is activated. You can find this on games like Ted and Gold Strike Bonanza.

UNIBET BRAND READY FOR ONTARIO LAUNCH

And finally, Unibet, the Kindred Group’s lead sports and casino brand, is also ready for launch in Ontario from 4th April. This will be the seventh regulated market in North America in which Unibet will be live.

Unibet’s Country Manager for Canada, Amanda Brewer, said: “This is an exciting day and a significant milestone for both Kindred and Unibet. We are proud to have received permission to launch in Ontario on the first day the market opens and look forward to building long-term relationships with our customers and partners.

“What makes Ontario unique is that thanks to its multicultural population, matches within for example soccer, rugby, tennis, curling and cricket are easily found.

“There will be no shortage of sports for fans to wager on when the market opens on 4 April. We are excited to provide fans with first class products and experiences.”

Unibet joins the long list of big name brands to enter the Ontario market including rivals 888, Bet365 and Leo Vegas.
