Paysafe Joins Ontario iGaming Market

The new Ontario iGaming market has been live a week now and leading payment provider, Paysafe, have announced that they are live and integrated with several of the operators that have been granted licenses in the new jurisdiction.

A strong gaming market is not just about the right operators and game suppliers, it is also about the right casino payment providers and a range of choice for consumers who want the option of eWallets and Pay by Phone as much as traditional bank cards.

Residents of Ontario who have played at the government-run Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG.ca) website before now may already have used services supported by Paysafe as the company has been integrated with the cashier their since launch back in 2015.

Paysafe provide a gateway for payments into licensed sportsbook and casino accounts made on Visa and Mastercard as well as through a variety of alternative methods including eCash.

It is expected that in the next few weeks Paysafe will announce the launch of several new payment services via its platform that will widen the choice for deposits and withdrawals at Ontario gaming sites.

The North American payment service will see this as an important step in extending its reach in an exciting new gaming market that reaches out to a population of more than 14 million and could generate revenues of more than $1.86 billion by 2026.

Announcing Paysafe’s involvement in Ontario the CEO of North America iGaming at Paysafe, Zak Cutler, said that, “Ontario will likely rival the largest U.S. state iGaming jurisdictions when it reaches maturity, and we look forward to facilitating payments for operators and their Ontarian customers to help the market grow to its full potential.”

Paysafe’s partnerships with operators in the first wave of licensing from iGaming Ontario is just the beginning too – the company expects to be able to announce further intergrations over the next few weeks as more licenses are granted and more casinos and sportsbooks begin to offer their products.

ONTARIO IGAMING MARKET

Paysafe join the new iGaming market in Ontario at an exciting time. During the first week of operations some of the biggest hitters in the global industry have taken bets including 888 Holdings, Bet365, Leo Vegas, Caeasars and BetRivers.

Over the next few weeks it is anticipated that more European operators will have licenses issued, including names like White Hat Gaming, whose platform supports the likes of Hello Casino and CasiGO.
